Bihawar Tourism Fair is going to be held from 28th of April 2018. The locals of Bihawar of Kavre District are set to organize the tourism fair from 28th to the 30th of April 2018.
“The test flight of paragliding was a success and we are ready to launch the sports activity commercially,” said Rameshwar Thapa, president of the Bihawar Area Tourism Fair Organizing Committee.
Those interested in the fair, Bihawar Tourism Fair will be rewarded with the mesmerizing view of the Himalayan range from Mt. Everest, Mt. Kanchenjunga, and Mt. Gaurishankar in the east and Mt. Ganesh, Mt. Dhaulagiri and Mt. Machapuchare in the west.
According to Rameshwar Thapa, Kavre is the perfect getaway destination for Kathmandu residents looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and is also ideal for various leisure activities like cycling and trekking, among others. Just 22 Kilometers from Kathmandu, Bihawar is located at an altitude of 2700 meters above the sea level
“We are aiming to tap into the potential of developing Bihawar as a major paragliding destination, as Pokhara will soon ban the activity because of the international airport being constructed there,” said Purushottam Adhikari, secretary of the fair organizing committee.
According to the organizers, local products, including agricultural produce, herbs, and honey, will also be showcased and be available for sale during the fair.
The trade fair is scheduled to be jointly inaugurated by Rabindra Prasad Adhikari, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and Gokul Baskota, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.
