WordCamp Kathmandu 2019, the biggest WordPress conference in Nepal was held last weekend and we were a part of it as well. The event was held at Bougainvilla in Tripureshwor, Kathmandu. The conference was concluded successfully with over 300 WordPress enthusiasts.
WordCamps are one of the biggest events conducted annually by hundreds of WordPress entrepreneurs, developers, bloggers, and enthusiasts. WordPress lovers or anyone who has experience or is interested in handling WordPress are welcomed to participate in WordCamps. Since the WordPress world is ever-evolving, WordCamp Kathmandu 2019 included many new tech stuff.
At the event, many young WordPress lovers were present and showed their full participation spirit. The event was divided into 3 halls—Hall Action, Hall Filter and the Lab. Excluding the opening, closing ceremonies, both the halls featured 9, 6, and 2 sessions respectively. Similar to other WordCamps held worldwide, WordCamp Kathmandu 2019 also had many national and international speakers who shared different experiences and thoughts regarding WordPress to the attendees.
Other than the presentations and the informative speakers, there were also many stalls at the event with lots of excitinggoodies. Every stall, seen at the event was aiming to promote their companies. The event also included delicious food, lucky draws, and many others.
WordCamp Kathmandu 2019 also had a Contributor day, similar to the previous WordCamp in Kathmandu. On the Contributor day, many WordPress enthusiasts were seen involved in contributing back to the community. There were a total number of 3 teams divided for the Contributor day: Theme Review, Support, and Polyglots. All of the teams were led by specific WordPress experts. It sure is a day where you get to learn about WordPress core even if you’re not familiar with it.
All in all, WordCamp Kathmandu 2019 has officially ended and that too with a huge success. All the attendees of WordCamp Kathmandu 2019 were seen enjoying the networking opportunity in the WordPress community and were very happy to be a part of it.
Cheers to the whole WordPress team for making the web world better.
