The literature-loving crowd in Nepal is growing every day. The trend of reading books and novels have definitely increased by many folds. Nepalese are into a wide array of writing styles, especially fiction, non-fiction and biographies. Many book-lovers are constantly on the look out for events happening near them. A literature event is all set to take place only a few days away.
A literature event named “Nepal Youth Literature Festival 2016” is taking place over a span of 5 days from August18 – August 22. The event aims to clarify the prospect of literature in Nepal. There will be talk-programs, live-interviews, workshops and competitions in the event. The literature event organised by the Drama and Debating Club of Budhanilkantha School pursues a deeper understanding of literature’s essence among the Nepalese youth as well as the general public.
There is an eligibility criterion mentioned that shouldn’t be a very difficult to qualify for. All you have to be is an SLC graduate. You have to pay an amount of NRs. 300 to participate in each competition and NRs. 100 to take part in the talk program. There are various themes for the competitions listed on Poetry, Story and Essay.
This literature event features famous good writers like Buddhisagar and Subin Bhattarai. This is a one-of-its-kind event and I encourage all of you literature fanatics to go and be a part of it. I myself might make a visit should my hours allow.
