Kathmandu Trail Race Series 2

Kathmandu Trail Race Series 2 has been announced

The Kathmandu Trail Race Series 2 is all set to take place on April 8. Organized and supported by National Geographic Adventurer of the Year, Mira Rai, Kathmandu Trail Race series 2 includes two variations: 15 km and 7 km fun trail runs in the natural trails of Kathmandu.

The 15 km course will charm you with the diversity of its terrain. A little way out past Boudha and Jorpati, the run goes through Himalayan Children’s Foundation towards Shivapuri and Kapan forest trails.

With the popular demand to conduct a shorter race, there will also be a 7 km trail race. This shorter race has been provided for beginners and for fun hikers.

Contestants in this race are divided into three categories according to their ages: cubs (12-17 years), eagles (18-39 years) and lions (40 and above). Cubs will require a legal guardian’s signature on the waiver.

Mira Rai said, “It’s a short race, well suited for both beginners and experienced runners. With a cut-off time of 4 hours, you can take your sweet time and finish at a comfortable pace. We encourage walkers, hikers, adventure bugs, and students, and folks of all ages to join in for amazing outdoor events!”

Registration fee for the race has been set at Rs. 400 for students, Rs. 600 for Nepalese, and Rs. 1000 for Non-Nepalese. The fee includes chest number and pins, water at start, finish & checkpoints, energy foods like bananas & biscuits, recovery soup or snack, certificates, badges, and medals for winners.

The 15 km race flags off at 8 am, whereas the 7 km race starts at 8.15 from Shivapuri Hill, Kathmandu.
