Bal Sahitya Mahotsav (BSM) is going to be held on 10th of February 2018. The first ever annual children’s literature festival in Nepal is set to organize its fourth edition. The event is going to take place at Rato Bangala School, Patan Dhokha, Lalitpur. The event, Bal Sahitya Mahotsav will begin at 10 A.M.
The event, Bal Sahitya Mahotsav, is being organized by Rato Bangala School, Rato Bangala Foundation, and Rato Bangala Kitab in collaboration with other partners. The event is being organized in order to provide an interactive and comprehensive experience to help school communities appreciate the power and pleasure of reading.
Bal Sahitya Mahotsav will feature new speakers, workshops, shows, and, of course, books! Make sure to enjoy the event. Visit the book stalls, enjoy delicious snacks, musical performances, read books by your favorite authors, learn about new book launches, and other fun activities for children and adults. The ticket price for the event will be NPR. 200.
David Heathfield, an eminent international storyteller, teacher, trainer, and writer of educational resources, is invited to the Mahotsav as a special guest. David tells stories from the world’s oral cultures in a highly interactive and musical way. He will be entertaining the crowd at BSM 2018.
Encouraging children to enjoy reading and to read more extensively, raising awareness and fostering commitment among teachers and parents so that reading is encouraged both in school and at home, and expanding the number of books available for children both at home and at school are the major objectives behind this venture.
Tina deVaron, Aneel Bisht, Narayan Wagle, Kamal Mani Dixit, Ani Choying Drolma were among distinguished personalities who adorned the Bal Sahitya Mahotsav in the previous years.
