The 4th Sindhupalchowk International Trail Race 2018 is going to be held on 23rd June this year. The trail race is organized by the local community of Sindhupalchowk, Pyrenees Nepal, Ram Puri and Jimi Oostrum.
This year, the 4th Sindhupalchowk International Trail Race 2018 will feature two types of trail races. The first one is the 21 km trail race that starts from Jalbire to the Last Resort. And, the second type is the 51 km trail race starting from Thulo Sirubi to the Last Resort.
Sindhupalchowk district was one of the most affected districts after the 2015 earthquake. However, it is also one of the most amazing places in terms of natural beauty, hills, and population. Only after a few months, Ram Puri and his friends organized the first Sindhupalchowk International Trail Race through which the construction of six temporary learning centers in the surroundings of Thulo Sirubari was supported. The success of the race and the outcome through that race was the inspiration behind organizing an annual international trail race in Sindhupalchowk.
You will enjoy the hospitality and will be fueled with a good Dal Bhat in the evening after the 51 km runners will be offered accommodation in the school that has since replaced the temporary learning center, and served fresh buckwheat bread (breakfast for champions!) in the morning from the bakery that is being supplied by the foodbank. The trails are not the easiest, however, the sceneries and adventure are sure to keep you going.
The entrance fee varies in three different categories: NPR. 500 for Nepalis, NPR. 250 for Students, and NPR. 1000 for foreigners. The entry fee includes a race t-shirt and a certificate. There will be an extra cost of NPR. 1000 for transport, dinner on June 22 and breakfast on 23rd June.
If you also want to be a part of the 4th Sindhupalchowk Trail Run 2018, you can register here. The registration deadline is June 23, 2018.
