Nepathya to Perform in Sikkim Festival

Nepathya to perform in Sikkim festival. The band is preparing for the Sikkim festival after the huge success with the Swoyambhu audience. The band will perform at Rabong, South Sikkim at 30th October 2018.

The three-day event, Rabong Tourism Festival will start from 28th of October to the 30th. Nepathya will perform as the closing act of the Sikkim festival in the evening.

Nepathya is a Nepalese music band that was formed in the early 1990’s by three students from Pokhara. They are the greatest band that has ever been formed in Nepal. Nepathya is best known for blending folk melodies with modern western-influenced rock music. Nepathya is well known for contemporary tunes that have strong ties with indigenous music and songs sung using regional dialects from rural Nepal.

“We consider this invitation an opportunity for cross-border connectivity between people of Nepali origin and culture,” frontman Amrit Gurung stated. “We take this as an honor to promote Nepali brotherhood”, he added.

As per the local organizers, preparation for the festival is in full swing and technical arrangement for the show has been finalized with a supplier from Siliguri.

Nepathya music has been popular around Sikkim for long. They are popular among all generations here, according to Jigme Wangchuk Bhutia, chairman of the Rabong Tourism Festival. “We are excited to witness Nepathya live in Rabong,” he stated.

Nepathya to perform in Sikkim festival. The band consisting of musicians, management and technicians will leave for Sikkim on October 28. Amrit Gurung will be accompanied on stage by Dhruba Lama on drums, Suraj Kumar Thapa on keyboards, Subin Shakya on bass, Niraj Gurung on guitars, and Shanti Rayamajhi on madal.
