Code for Nepal is organizing the competition, ‘Kata Nepali, to encourage people to use available digital tools like smartphones, computer, iPad, etc., and social media such as Facebook, Twitter, and the network to promote local engagement, produce reliable content and voice to build up the culture of civic debate and discussion.

Participants are to create a short documentary, a visual story, a poem, a song, or a single act or can compose oratory to answer the question, “What is your vision and aspiration for Nepal?”

The duration of the video for the above topic should be no more than 3 minutes. Nepali, Bhojpuri, English, Maithili, or Tamang languages are acknowledged by the team for the video.

If you are 14 years and above and want your vision for Nepal to be heard, Kata Nepali, a short video competition is the right platform for you.

The participants will be awarded cash. The videos standing first, second, and third in the competition will be awarded NPR. 20000, NPR. 7000, and NPR. 3000.

The short video competition, Kata Nepali, kicked off back on 7th of December. As for the deadline for submitting the video will be on 31st of December, 2017. The results will be on 14th of February, 2018.
