5 Ways To Be Consistent With Your Morning Routine

Having a healthy morning routine is important as it can give you so many benefits to start the day right away.
However, the morning routine is beneficial only when you do it regularly. But, sticking to it is really the hard part. It is not compulsory to have the same routine every day, you can have different routines during the week vs the weekend accordingly as consistency is the key.

Morning and evening routines prime you for success. This way you can achieve more, think clearly and do work perfectly. They keep you from stumbling through your day and make sure that you get the most important things done. All you need is a bit of discipline, along with the routines.

5 Ways To Be Consistent With Your Morning Routine

Have a regular sleep

Start developing a regular sleep if you don’t have one. For example – Going to bed at the same time each night and waking up every morning at the same time. You need to be realistic about your wake-up time. Choose the time that is appropriate for you. It is very important to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep each night. After that, your body will naturally adjust when you set times to sleep and wake up. Waking up every morning at the same time, well-rested and ready to start your morning routine, will definitely help you stay consistent with your morning routine.

Do not hit the snooze button

There are some people who can wake up straight away from an alarm. On the other hand, some people press snooze a little too often. Hitting the snooze button for an extra minute will actually make you feel less refreshed rather than getting out of your bed after the first alarm. Just evaluate your sleeping time whether it is working for you or not. Maybe, you need to go to the bed a little earlier to catch some extra sleep.

No checking your phone

One of the disruptive things that you do in the morning is to check your phone. Checking your social media, messages, emails, phone notifications, etc early in the morning will distract you or stress you out. You will just end up spending another 20 minutes in the bed while scrolling your phone. This is not the best way to wake up early in the morning.
But if you need to use your phone as an alarm then just set your phone on DND the night before.

Have an accountability partner

Do you have a friend or a family member who can hold you accountable for your morning routine?

Sometimes it’s really helpful to have an accountability partner for your morning routine. They just need to check in with you every morning or they can even do some morning routine with you. For example – eat a healthy breakfast, workout, and prayer time. This will help you to encourage and motivate you which will improve your consistency.
