Every year when summer comes, we get very much excited to recreate our wardrobe. But saying this just don’t get us wrong. The breezy fashion that comes with warm weather is good on the other hand, the cool, crisp autumn air just gives us so many options. However, when fall turns into winter and multiple layers become mandatory, we start to run out of cute cold-weather outfits real quick. Don’t pack all your summer clothes

Before packing up all the summer dresses, take a look at some of your floral dresses that can be layered with a turtleneck and tight floral prints tend to transition into a winter wardrobe easier.

Try to wear tight clothes

Normally, tight-fitting clothes prevent wind chill. Swap wide-leg jeans for skinny jeans, which also help visually balance out oversize knit sweaters and chunky boots. Wear fleece-lined tights or leggings under skirts and dresses to keep your legs warm.

Choose the correct down

Many people wear down jackets in the winter. Down is a great material that will keep you warm this winter. Also, it is a  lightweight fabric and insulating. Though it gets wet, it will quickly lose its puff. On the other hand, the synthetic down is heavier, but it stands up to rain.

Avoid the cotton dresses

Well, cotton dresses are amazing only in the summer. It is a breathable material but it is not ideal for winter as it holds a lot of water. Save the corduroy pants, plaid flannel shirts, and college sweatshirts for fall and spring. Instead of denim wear wool.

Wear Woolen Clothes

The moisture-wicking woolen clothes keeps you warm and dry all day. But, if you don’t like it and find this woolen clothes  itchy, consider cashmere and merino. For the base layer, Merino is a best as it is a lightweight wool. Try to use simple merino turtleneck and leggings for the ultimate winter base layer. Cashmere is a soft wool that will keep you warm and gives you comfort. It’s a great option for comfy beanies and work-friendly cardigans.

Make sure your clothes are weatherproofed

Maybe you don’t want your shoe with a hole and your coat is no longer waterproof on the snowy day and rainy day. Spray weather-proofing on your rain jackets if it is needed. So, take out all your favorite boots and send it to the repair shop to get them weatherized and reheeled before the winter comes.

Play with Texture

Mainly in winter, people dress up in boring style. Try to incorporate with texture into your look with ribbed and cable-knit cardigans, shearling coats, quilted puffer coats, faux fur coats, and leather pants.
