Smart City Incubation Program

Smart City Incubation Program, an eight-week program was launched by the CG Nepal Social Business and Chaudhary Foundation for the Smart City Challenge Program which was announced back on 15th of May 2018 during the Asia Pacific Peace and Development Service Alliance Conference (AAPDSA).

The conference, Asia Pacific Peace and Development Service Alliance Conference was attended by Mr. Madhav Dhungel, Executive Vice Chairman of National Youth Council who mentioned that he was highly impressed by the presented innovative ideas of the youth and also pledged to provide them any kind of support they needed form the government level. Mr. Nirvana Chaudhary, MD of Chaudhary Group also expressed his views on how youth are the driving force in taking Nepal to new heights. He also highlighted the power of collaboration and leverage and also assured to provide any kind of platform they require in the future.

The eight-week program, Smart City Incubation Program, will be conducted by CG Nepal social business in association with Blue Waste 2 Value and Global Peace Foundation Nepal at Chaudhary Group Global Headquarters at Sanepa where the participants will go through the various level of training with experts of different fields. Upon the completion of the program, the social enterprises will be connected to potential investors through Chaudhary Foundation networks.

The program, Smart City Incubation Program, will incubate 5 youth-led social enterprises that aim to tackle issues such as Waste management, Internet of Things (IoT), and other issues to make Kathmandu develop towards a new ‘Smart City.’
