Note 7 release

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 to release on August 2nd

Samsung Electronics announced a few days ago that the long-awaited phablet – Samsung Galaxy Note 7 release is on August 2, 2016.

Samsung has always been the go-to choice for smartphones. Ranking higher than Apple in market shares, why wouldn’t anyone be excited about a new release? I personally am, very excited. Doesn’t matter that I will probably (no, make that surely) not lay my hands on it(given the price tag it’ll carry), the new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 release has me counting days just to check out its awesome specs and features.

The Note series has always been the most anticipated Android smartphones in the market and the Note 7 release is no lesser. This is obviously not the first post you have seen about the Note 7 release. Nonetheless, I want to share with you, my excitement over it.

Samsung completely scraped off 6 from the smartphone listing; a marketing strategy to keep it on par with the Galaxy S7. We don’t mind, though, Note 7 has a different ring to it. As we eagerly wait for the Samsung Unpacked Press conference on 2nd August. You can find the speculated specs here.

Why I’m so excited for the Note 7 release?

There have been a lot of speculations and expectations regarding the Note 7 release. So much so that we just can’t wait to see all that it actually holds. The phablet, undoubtedly competing for the best smartphone of 2017, is so intriguing. Even though a simpleton like me can’t afford the price tag it will bear, these are the features I’m most enticed with:

Iris Scanner

Samsung is all set to flag off the iris scanner feature in its smartphones starting with Note 7. It makes the device even more secure. Samsung obviously hasn’t ditched the fingerprint scanner, though. It’s still there on the device’s home button. But imagine unlocking your phone by looking at it, in under a second! Cool, isn’t it?

Dual Edge Display

The flat screen has been around for too long. And Samsung is here to change it. The new Note 7 features a dual edge display. There was supposed to be the feature in Note 5, but didn’t due to some problems in using the S-Pen. Seems the issue is solved, and we get the long awaited feature.

Waterproof

The biggest fear of owning a new, expensive smartphone—Drowning it! With the Note 7 release, Samsung is now adding its Waterproof feature to its phablets. With IP68 waterproof ratings, You don’t have to worry about your phone being damaged by the drops of elixir. Unless you leave your phone drowned for over 30 minutes, that is. It’s highly unlikely. We rarely spend 10 minutes without our smartphones.

Colors!

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is supposedly coming with three color options. Black Onyx, Silver Titanium and Blue Coral. This leak comes from Evan Blass, a highly accurate source.

The camera is supposedly 12MP rear/ 5MP front. The rear camera features dual pixel, the same technology used by DSLRs and mirrorless cameras in various forms. Prepare for your photographs to be exceptionally impressive.

Improved S Pen

The only close-guarded secret Samsung has succeeded in keeping is details about the S Pen. The Korean giant has confirmed that the new S Pen alongside the Galaxy Note7 will come with ‘added functionalities’, but that’s all we know about the stylus for now. I have laid my hands on the Note 3 and really like the S-Pen it carries. I just hope the ‘S Pen design flaw’ from Note 5 is gone for good.

In addition, are you running out of storage space? That’s a thing of the past. In addition to the 64 GB inbuilt memory, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 gives you the freedom of an expandable memory with an SD card slot. Users will never have to worry about the amount of space their files are taking up 5.7” screen, QHD with Super AMOLED display. Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with 6GB RAM and pre-installed Android 7. Very less has been left to the imagination with all these leaks surrounding us. It is also said to be the best smartphone for Pokemon Go, a game I’m obsessed with at present. It will be very VR compatible. What more does anyone need out of a smartphone? For now, that is.

All in all, I can say I am super excited for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 release. I cannot help but emphasize my eagerness to see. It was supposed to be Note 6, but then, if you do count Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, it is practically the 7th installment to the Note Series. I won’t be able to buy it, for sure. Nevertheless, I’d sure like to use it for once at least. What do you think about it? Tell us in the comments.
