Gear up for Kathmandu Kora Cycling Challenge 2019!

The country’s one of the biggest cycling challenges is back again – Kathmandu Kora Cycling Challenge 2019. The event will take place on July 20 and will begin from Mangal Bazar.

The cycling challenge was first initiated in the year 2011 with only 35 riders. They challenged themselves and got pledged of around half a million Nepali Rupees for a school and an orphanage in Kathmandu. Each year, on the third Saturday of July, riders from all over the world gather to cycle for a humanitarian cause. Last year alone, almost 2000 riders rode for two causes: ladies Mountain League and Help Build Earthquake Resilient Homes. Riders and sponsors made pledges for the two causes. Riders had the freedom to choose which cause they want to donate to and, also, the length of the course: 50 km, 75 km or 100 km.

Likewise, Kathmandu Kora Cycling Challenge 2019 will also give riders the freedom to challenge themselves with their desired length. This year, the organizers are zeroing down on a cause, causes from the various proposals received. They will be publishing the cause for this year once decided. So, stay updated with us, we’ll update the article once they have published the cause.
