Britannia Factory to be Installed in Nepal | Within 18 Months

Britannia Factory to be installed in Nepal within 18 months. Britannia Industry Limited, Indian food processing company announced that it will set up a Biscuit Production Factory with investment worth NPR. 1 billion here in Nepal.

Anindya Dutta, vice-president of Britannia Industry, revealed the company’s plan to establish its production plant in Birgunj at a function held in the Capital today to mark the launch of the company’s new television commercial of its flagship product — Good Day.

“We have already acquired the Nepali government’s approval to establish the factory. Establishment of the factory will be crucial to enhance our market share in the biscuit market of Nepal which is currently at 20%,” said Dutta. Informing that the company plans to operate the factory in Nepal within next 18 months, Dutta said, “The factory will produce 80% of Britannia food products available in Nepal.”

Claiming that Britannia is already a household name in Nepal with its products available in the country for over a decade, Dutta said that the company will up its investment in Nepal to make Britannia the largest food brand in Nepal. As per him, the company will prioritize higher investment in branding and network enhancement. Dutta also informed that Britannia will soon introduce its breads, cakes and dairy products in Nepal. Britannia Factory to be installed in Nepal

According to him, consumers in Nepal are gradually upgrading their requirements to premium quality products, which has created a good opportunity for Britannia to play a meaningful part in contributing to the growth of the biscuits sector in Nepal.
