Since we are in a critical situation, we believe a little knowledge about this flu-like illness could prevent you from it. In this article, we will learn about Dengue Symptoms, Treatment, Prevention, and More.

The Dengue Fever

Dengue Fever is caused by four different viruses (DEN-1 to DEN-4) and spread by female Aedes mosquitoes. These mosquitoes can be recognized by white lyre-shaped markings on its legs. They’re also popular as the tiger mosquitoes because of their markings. The disease can differ from person to person. It can be mild with only fever or it can be severe with many life-threatening symptoms.

I suggest you consult with your doctor shortly if the symptoms match.

PREVENTION

Dengue Fever sure does not have a specific treatment, however, it is preventable. Here are some precautions you can take:

  • Mosquitoes that spread dengue bite during the day. Avoid infection by preventing mosquito bites.
  • Use Mosquito repellents like Odomos Mosquito Repellents

  • Proper Home Sanitization; keep your surroundings clean

The Dengue Fever outbreak has already entered our country and we now need to be really thoughtful about the issue. We need to prevent ourselves from this disease by keeping our environment clean and using insect repellents.

Younger children and people who have not had the infection before tend to have milder cases than adults. People with weak immune systems are at a greater risk of Dengue. Therefore, exert necessary preventions and stay safe from this illness.
