Random Rants: 7 Most Annoying Things People Do on Facebook

Facebook is a really great tool for keeping connected with your family and friends and posting pictures to share with them. Among other things, it is also a great platform for organizing group events and letting everyone know what you are up to. But, it doesn’t necessarily mean you have to post each and every tiny thing you do in your real life. Not everyone needs to know, and not everyone is interested in creeping at your daily personal life. People who do a little more than the Facebook actually provides, are the ones that are annoying all of their friends on Facebook and provoking them to delete them forever from their friend list. There are plenty of ways to become a dirt ball on Facebook. You don’t want to be one of them, do you? So, without any further ado, let’s check out these 7 most annoying things people do on Facebook.

Inviting to play useless games

Not everyone loves playing games on their phone. And those people know the annoyance of constantly being invited to play Candy Crush, Farmville, and other random games. People who play these games can play them all day and night, but not all of us enjoy it. We do not bother to play these games, and we never will, no matter who and how many times you invite us to play with you. We will not be convinced by your invitations. So, if you don’t want to look stupid, you may want to stop sending us those annoying game invitations.

Posting Pictures of Food

You went to a fancy restaurant and had a wonderful dinner? Great, we are impressed. You made a good meal at home? Wow, you must be really talented to do that. I will let you in on a secret, though.  You might not know about it, but it is really irritating. Seeing the food on your Facebook profile doesn’t enhance anyone’s idea of its taste, nor does it allow anyone to fathom what it might taste like. Instead, it makes you look like a jackass who picks up the phone before picking up the fork when your meal is in front of you. You might want to stop doing that if you don’t want to annoy your friends on Facebook.

Posting Weather Updates

I assume most of your Facebook friends are your friends in real life as well, which means there is a high chance that most of them are from the same city as you are. So, what is the point in posting the weather updates? If it is raining in your city, probably, it is raining in their city as well, and even they can see it. Okay, I get it, some of your Facebook friends are from another city or country, and they will know about the weather update that you just posted on your Facebook. Now, what are you expecting from them in return? A thank you? By updating that futile status, all you did was wasted a tiny bit of 3G from your cell phone data.

Constantly updating their cryptic status

Status updates are supposed to be simple and interesting, which would provoke a reaction from the audience that leads to comments and likes. However, we all have that one friend who loves seeking attention and constantly, updates their status like “I can’t believe” or “not again”. It is usually something really stupid that it is not even worth the effort to type in a comment to ask what happened. People who don’t know these types of creepy people will obviously ask what had happened in the comments section and we all know their reply -“I don’t want to talk about it”. Well, if you didn’t want to talk about it in public, then why would you post it on your Facebook publicly? Just for some likes and attentions from people. These people really deserve a giant thumbs-down.

Couples who don’t stop showing their love on each other’s wall

You are in love? That’s great, for you and for the person you are in love with. But, is it necessary to let the whole world know about your love? The fact is, no one needs to be involved in your relationship. That is clearly to flaunt it to your friends and makes you look like a huge jerk. You may be in love but don’t share it with the world. Trust me when I say this, “Nobody cares.”

Tagging

Facebook allows you to tag people who appear in your photos, regardless of whether they want to be identified in it or not. But, it’s not recommended to tag your friends at random. It is okay to tag people who are in the picture, but to tag 30 others who have absolutely no idea what the picture is about, is one of the most irritating things that you could possibly do on Facebook. Mostly, people do this just to get more likes and comments. If you are one of them, you might want to stop doing that if you don’t want to look like a jackass in front of your friends.

Posting a selfie each day

Every morning you wake up to a Facebook post of a selfie with the caption “Good Morning, World!” or something even dumber than that. Who wants to see you in the morning every day? Who wants to see you at all for that matter? Also, what are you trying to prove with that selfie post every day? That you woke up and we shouldn’t be worried that perhaps you died in your sleep? Okay, that was a bit rude of me to say that but it is the truth. It is really annoying to see the face of the same person every day with their dumb captions on Facebook.

Finally, we have come to an end of 7 most annoying things people do on Facebook. Of course, it’s your choice to do whatever you want on social media and nothing will ever stop you from doing that. But, just be sure that you are not being annoying to your friends on Facebook.
