Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Officially Launched in Nepal

Samsung Electronics launched a brand new flagship smartphone— Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in Kathmandu on Monday. The new Samsung smartphone was released in Nepal after around four weeks of its global launch.

The South Korean electronics giant has started taking preorders for the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 from its showrooms and selected retail stores. The new big-screened phones will go on sale in the domestic market from midnight on October 10. The device will be available in black and maple gold colors and cost Rs102, 990.

The new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 comes with a big, immersive Infinity Display that fits comfortably in one hand, an S Pen, a stylus to write, draw and communicate, and dual camera with dual optical image stabilization to capture stunning photos. The phone also comes with Samsung’s defense-grade security platform Samsung Knox.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has the biggest screen ever on a Note device—6.3-inch quad HD+ Super AMOLED infinity display. This screen provides more room to watch, read and draw, and makes multitasking easier.

Pranaya Ratna Sthapit, Deputy General Manager at Samsung Electronics said, “The Galaxy Note 8, with its stunning Infinity Display, enhanced S Pen and a dual camera, is designed for those who want to do bigger things. At Samsung, we listen to our consumers and bring in meaningful innovations that help make their lives better.” He further said that the new phone would further consolidate their leadership position in the premium smartphone segment in Nepal.

Samsung Nepal is expecting to sell over 3, 000 units of Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in a year.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 users will get 16 GB 4G data at the rate of 2 GB per month for eight months from Ncell, a leading telecom company in Nepal. The Note 8 also comes with an eight-month breakage insurance.

Consumers can pay for the phone in installments from various partner banks of Samsung Nepal.
