Going Green: Asta Automobile to Launch Vmoto SOCO in Nepal

As the Nepal denizens are already tired of frequent fuel shortage, they seem to be inclined towards electric bikes and scooters. Their public demand has soared since the Indian blockade and since the demand for electric two-wheelers is increasing, the number of these two-wheeler brands is also growing accordingly.

Asta Automobile Pvt. Ltd., the sole authorized distributor of Vmoto brand of electric powered two-wheel vehicles in Nepal, will be launching a new model of electric two-wheeler called Vmoto SOCO TS 1200R. The new model looks resembles a motorbike with a single rider design. According to the company, Vmoto SOCO TS 1200R is fitted with Bosch Motor, & Lithium battery. The motor capacity is of 1200 watt and can reach the maximum speed of 55 km/hr and charges completely in 6 hours. It comes with 1 set battery to give 100 km per charge and can be added extra 1 set battery to get 200 km range. It comes with a direct drive system rather than a gear system. Other specs include all LED lights, key less start, tracking, mobile app control, etc. The tyre size is 90/90-17, 90/100-17. The expected price of Vmoto SOCO is NRs. 180,000. Asta Auto also reveals plan to bring a 3000 watt model. Asta Automobile recommends people to visit their Teku showroom to inspect the model prior to booking. Asta Auto previously launched 4 models of the Vmoto electric scooters to wide acclaim.
