Subisu CAN CommTech 2016 to Begin from 8th September

Federation of Computer Association Nepal (CAN) is organizing the nation’s first ever CommTech (Information, Communication and Technology) Exhibition, Subisu CAN CommTech 2016 in Association with Samsung, from September 8 (Bhadra 23) at Bhrikuti Mandap, Kathmandu.

This four-day event aims to promote and uplift the Information, Communication and Technology field in Nepal. The event will see 81 small and large stalls from various internet service providers, electronic security and safety and solution providers, hardware dealers and power solution providers, ICT colleges and training institutes, payment solutions and others.

In a press meeting at Radisson Hotel, Bishwo Ram Balami, General Secretary of CAN Federation, told that this program aims to promote and uplift the Information, Communication and Technology field in Nepal. Also, he talked about how Nepali consumers can get first hand experience with products from many national and international companies.

Binod Dhakal, president of the CAN Federation, added that this event will be different from previous events like SoftTech and InfoTech, which will also be organized later this year.

Among the main highlights of the event, a separate pavilion named Electronic Security and Safety and Solution has been set up for companies dealing in security options. It will showcase security equipment like CCTV, access control systems, alarm systems, fire and smoke detectors and other gadgets. And this pavilion would be fully managed by APSA (Asian Professional Security Association) Nepal.

Likewise, broadband internet and communication technology will be emphasized at the exhibition. According to the federation, discount schemes on high speed internet service and digital TV transmission, Android mobile and innovative technologies and information related to government-envisioned smart cities will be a major attraction for visitors.

Sudhir Parajuli, president of the Subisu, the title sponsor for the event said, “We will be promoting our Clear TV brand at the event. Moreover, we will be introducing new services related to FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home).”

Samsung, the associate sponsor, will also use this opportunity to showcase its latest innovations. “We are proud to come together with CAN to exhibit new technologies like S-bike mode and ultra-saving, among others” said Pranaya Ratna Sthapit, HHP division head at Integrated Mobility Solutions.

Web Surfer is supporting the event as the Platinum Sponsor. Su-Kam and netis are the Silver Sponsors, with Sparrow acting as the Print Sponsor. Besides these, Sunrise Bank Limited is the official banking partner. It has also been decided that Subisu, Samsung and Sunrise Bank Limited will be the Title Sponsor, Associate Sponsor, and official banking partner respectively for the upcoming CAN InfoTech 2017 and CAN ICT Conference 2017 as well.

This event is open to all age groups. The entrance fee for the exhibition has been set as Rs. 50 for general public and Rs. 25 for students.
