National Reading Mela 2018 to Kick Off on Jan 20-22

Good news for all the Bookworms! National Reading Mela 2018 is going to kick off from January 20 to 22 in Rashtriya Nachghar, Jamal, Kathmandu. The organizers of the event are Shiksha Nepal and National Volunteering Program. The event will start at 9 in the morning and will last until 5 in the evening.

With the slogan, “Celebrating the Joy of Reading”, the event will be swelled with influential writers, celebrities, and other notable figures of Nepal. National Reading Mela 2018 will also feature books and photo exhibitions with live book talks and also the excitement of face painting will also be featured during the event.

National Reading Mela 2018 is the second of its kind. The first session of National Reading Mela was held successfully last year. The previous reading Mela sure did leave a good impression on everyone who participated and attended. Therefore, the second one is also expected to reach the success it got last year. The organizers of National Reading Mela 2018 are expecting 30,000 footfall this year.

With 300+ volunteers, the event is all geared up for new readers, promote books, writers, photographs, flourish reading materials, and more.

According to the official event page on Facebook, books exhibition, photo exhibition, Kabita concert, live book talks, face painting, 100 writers and celebrities, foods, the story of Shiksha Nepal, and music will be the main attractions of the event.
