After the success of Kathmandu Kora Cycling Challenge 2017, Kathmandu Kora Cycling Challenge is now setting the stage for the eighth edition of the challenge – Kathmandu Kora Cycling Challenge 2018. The event will take place on July 21st and will begin from Mangal Bazar (Patan Durbar Square).

Since its inauguration in 2011 with only 35 riders, Kathmandu Kora has gone on to become Nepal’s favorite cycling event. Each year, on the third Saturday of July, riders from all over the world gather to cycle for a humanitarian cause. Last year alone, almost 2600 riders rode for a personal challenge of 50 km, 75 km, and 100 km around Kathmandu Valley and raised NPR. 4.5 lakhs.

Please raise NPR. 100 for each km you ride by asking friends, family, and companies to pledge the amount to help the causes that have been selected for this year:

  • Ladies Mountain League Building a community of empowered women through adventure
  • Survivors – Supporting incentives for communities building earthquake resilient homes.

    1. If you are doing fundraising, then it’s recommended to raise Rs 100 for each km. Also, this is just a recommendation by Kathmandu Kora Cycling Challenge group https://www.facebook.com/pg/ktmkora/. You can raise more then that or less. I already did KORA75 twice. First time, I did fundraising and collected about Rs 16,000 but last year I didn’t do fundraising. So, I just donated Rs. 1000 from my pocket.
