CAN InfoTech 2017 To Feature 222 Stalls

The wait is over, CAN InfoTech 2017 has finally reached its final stage of preparation. This mega event of six days is going to begin from January 26 at Bhrikutimandap.

CAN Federation has been organizing CAN InfoTech every year since 1995 with the aim to promote information and communication technology (ICT) industry of Nepal and increase awareness of technology amongst all Nepalese.

In a press conference held in the capital today, the organizers of CAN InfoTech 2017 said that all the stalls for the event have been booked and the event is all set to go. The organizers added that this year has received more active participation of exhibitors and that all 222 stalls, set up for the event, have been booked by different participating companies.

Binod Dhakal, President of CAN Federation, said, “We are now almost ready to hold the event, all the exhibitors have been finalized, and they will be providing different lucrative offers on their products and services throughout the event.”

Subisu Cable Internet Pvt. Ltd. is the title sponsor of the event with Samsung as an associate sponsor. Therefore, this 23rd edition of CAN InfoTech 2017 has been entitled as “Subisu CAN InfoTech 2017, in association with Samsung”. Likewise, many other companies are providing their assistance: Mercantile as platinum sponsor, Nepal Telecom as diamond sponsor, Huawei and OPPO as gold sponsors, Netis, S-Power, MI Smartphones and Lenovo as silver sponsors, and last but not the least, Khalti as print sponsor.

According to CAN Federation, Subisu has introduced an offer on its Digital TV and broadband internet services. Samsung will be showcasing its range of smartphones and also, will be launching two new handsets, C9 Pro and A7-2017 version at the event. Similarly, Nepal Telecom (NT), the diamond sponsor of the event, will be focusing on recently launched 4G service and launching different data packages.

As per the organizers, products and services related to power solution, mobile accessories, hardware sales and maintenance, internet service providers, telecommunication, software and payment solution, ICT colleges, etc. will be displayed during the grand event.

Similarly, as a part of the event, CAN Federation will be organizing a two-day International ICT Conference from January 29. As per CAN officials, the conference will be organized on the theme of ‘Information and Communication Technology for Sustainable Development’.

Organizers of CAN InfoTech 2017 are expecting 400,000 visitors during the event. Tickets have been fixed at NRs. 100 for general visitors and NRs. 50 for students with valid ID cards. You can also buy tickets online at 25% discount. It means it will only cost you NRs. 80 if you buy it online.
