14th KCM Inter-College Music Competition | Platform to Bring-out Country’s Passionate and Emerging Bands

The 14th KCM Inter-College Music Competition is going to be held on 24th of February 2018 at Jawalakhel, Lalitpur. Student Council of Kathmandu College of Management (KCM) is set to organize the finale of the fourteenth edition of KCM Inter-College Music Competition starting from 10 A.M. to 8 P.M.

The event, 14th KCM Inter-College Music Competition aims to create a platform for the emerging bands to showcase their musical skills and connect with youths as well as music fanatics of all age groups around the country. Every year the event is organized to bring all musicians from all over Nepal in a single stage.

The qualifying rounds of the event, 14th KCM Inter-College Music Competition took place on 16th and 17th of February on the premises of Kathmandu College of Management at Gwarko, Lalitpur. 15 bands participated in the event and performed two songs each out of which one was their self-composed song. Three jury members had judged the performers. Out of the 15 bands, 10 bands were selected. 8 bands were chosen on the basis of the remarks and voting through judges, and 2 bands were chosen as judges and crowds favorite.

The band scoring highest points on the judges’ score sheet, other than the winning band, was titled as Judges Favorite and the band getting the highest SMS votes was titled Crowds Favorite.

The 10 qualifying bands to participate in the event are ‘Shreekali’ from AIMS college, ‘On your mark’ from Golden Gate International College, ‘Chihaan’ from Budanilkantha College, ‘Incandicent’ from Kaleidoscope Music Academy, ‘Blue skin’ from Kastamandap Arts Studio, ‘Famous Last Wishes’ from S3 Music Academy, ‘Of Quiet Echoes’ from Little Angel’s College, ‘Buttons off’ from Nepal Music Center, ‘Rectifier’ from Royal Music Academy, and NS 1134’ from Unique College.

The previous runner-ups of the KCM Inter-College Music Competition were ‘Crown of Thrones’ and ‘The Inception’. The show will be made bigger, louder, and heavier with better leading lights and sound setups. The 14th KCM Inter-College Music Competition will be a great concert experience that has never been known before.
