Global Cyber Security Summit 2018

Global Cyber Security Summit 2018 is going to be held on 27th and 28th of July 2018. With the theme of ‘Building Global Alliance for Cyber Resilience’, Information Security Response Team Nepal (NPCERT) is set to organize the security summit at the Radisson Hotel, Kathmandu. Global Code Camp 2018 is an initiative to make people aware of cybersecurity in order to establish a strong security posture in Nepal.

NPCERT is a society of Information Security experts formed to address the urgent need for the protection of national information and growing cybersecurity threats in Nepal.

The targeted audience for the summit are IT professionals, security experts, government employees, enterprises, and learners from different sectors. The event contains one day of a pre-summit workshop hosted by Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) and facilitated by LABA NepalCheck Point Software Technologies and EC-Council, and a full-day summit with key-note sessions, presentations, and interactions with industry leaders in Cyber Security. During the summit, the participants will have intense engagement on cybersecurity-related issues and will get networking opportunity with the industry practitioners.

The objective of Global Cyber Security Summit 2018 is to bring diverse expertise in the field of cybersecurity to share knowledge and skills. The summit will bring together different stakeholders from various parts of the world, reflect on current cybersecurity trends to build a solid foundation to combat contemporary cybersecurity threats.

The summit is structured to include a day of presentations, panel discussions, and keynote lectures by national and international experts. Many International experts will be speaking in the Global Code Camp 2018. Participants will interact with national and international business partners, employers, clients, and customers.

Global Cyber Security Summit 2018 is sponsored by LogPoint, Cisco and Check Point Software Technologies, and is supported by the Ministry of Communication and Information (MOCI), Department of Information Technology (DoIT), Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST), Nepal Bankers’ Association (NBA), Computer Association of Nepal (CAN), Internet Society Nepal Chapter, and various others organization.
